Competition Updates

NSW Country Championships 2019

Once again held at Glendale’s Hunter Sports Centre, this year’s NSW Country Championships can be followed on Instagram and online through constant updates posted by Gym NSW. With videos, photos and live Q&A’s, your go-to competition information can be found through the #gnswcountry tag on Instagram. You can view a list of current up to date results here.

Gymnastics Direct Instagram followers have been helpful in giving us first hand recounts of the competition days. Thank-you to Shayla (Instagram: @shay_bear_gymnast) for informing Gymnastics Direct of your amazing results on day one of NSW Country Championships. Shayla finished with a gold medal overall and can be seen smiling proudly with her results here.

Another Gymnastics Direct customer, Scarlett (Instagram: scarlett.gymnast), made herself and her followers proud, placing overall 2nd individually and 5th with her teammates from Tamworth Gymnastics Club. The 4:30am wakeup was worth it for these dedicated gymnasts!

Feedback from our followers tell us NSW Country Champs were overall a rewarding experience for all involved. Instagram user @josiejumpgym loved using this competition as a way to learn and improve on her skills through feedback and from observing others,

“it was a great opportunity to learn lots of new skills and techniques to better my routines.”

Congratulations to everyone who took time out of their week to compete in NSW Country Championships.

Thanks to Francina Louise for contacting us on Facebook to tell us about her daughter Amity’s day at NSW Country Champs. Amity wasn’t going to let the hairline fracture in her hand stop her from performing her best on competition day! She walked away with three blue ribbons for bar, two blues for floor and one blue for beam! We see a bright future for this young champion.
